Some of our favorite Halloween events in Texas are hosted by our animal-loving staff at Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo! All season long, guests can conquer their fears by getting up close and personal with these critters. Such creatures range from our scaly and slithery snakes to one of Edgar Allan Poe’s most notable muses: the raven! A Few Spooktacular Free Austin Halloween Events
Our upcoming Howl-O-Ween Extravaganza will take place over the final weekend in October, but there are several other Austin Halloween events that are sure to get you in the Halloween spirit all month long! However, attending Halloween events all season long will eventually add up—even if admission is as cheap as $5 per person! To avoid spending an arm and a leg this autumn, consider attending notable free Halloween events Austin side.
One free Halloween party in Texas is Kyle’s own Center Street Trick-or-Treat. In addition to functioning as a safe space for young trick-or-treaters before it gets dark, this event is a great way for families to get to know the friendly faces behind local businesses and organizations. Another free event that will be hosted by Kyle’s Parks and Recreation department is the Halloween Movie in the Park. Fun for the Whole Family: Halloween Events Austin Has to Offer
Oftentimes, Halloween and the month of October as a whole tend to come and go in a flash. Before this cruel phenomenon can happen this year, we want to take some time to recognize some of our personal favorite Halloween events Austin wise. One of these events is Texas Pumpkin Fest, an annual autumnal festival thrown at VFW Post 10427. In addition to classic fall must-haves like an enormous pumpkin patch, the festival also holds fun Halloween-themed games and shows for the kiddos. The event also boasts plenty of delicious food trucks like the spooktacular Evil Weiner Hot Dogs and a wide array of spirits and alcoholic beverages for adults.
Another notable event that will get the whole family in the Halloween spirit is Haunted ATX’s mobile ghost tour! As its name implies, families can go on a tantalizing ghost tour at their own pace in either public van tours or exclusive, private hearse limo tours. Since walking during these tours is intentionally minimal, guests are encouraged to sit back and relax as they learn about a compelling assortment of local haunts. However, while there are plenty of annual Halloween events in Texas, it is important not to get overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of them and to attend whatever events best interest you and your family!
