The event will feature festive shows that showcase our jolly animal residents and fun enrichment activities for guests and animals alike. Such aspects encourage guests to attend our seasonal events on a yearly basis and consider our zoo as the best zoo in the world! Celebrate the holiday season in style as you spend it with our knowledgeable staff and personable animal ambassadors. The second of these celebrations is San Antonio Zoo’s Zoo Lights. Much like the Zoo Lights event held at Houston Zoo, guests can expect to partake in festive snacks while marveling at the dazzling lights and wintery sights all around them!

Since events like Houston Zoo Lights certainly aren’t for everyone, here are a few other festive celebrations that are sure to get anyone over 21 in the holiday spirit. Another local festive event that plenty of our zoo guests look forward to is the Sylver Spoon Dinner Theater’s Ho Ho Homicide! Murder Mystery Party. Like its name suggests, the event encourages dinner guests to indulge in a cocktail hour and a three course meal while participating in a uniquely festive murder mystery!

Since we have been focusing on a variety of fun ways to spend this holiday season, we want to take the time to remind you of our long-awaited Christmas with the Critters event! Besides encouraging our guests to appreciate the natural wonders of Texas at Christmas time, we will be featuring festive animal shows and delicious holiday treats for guests and animals alike. As our animals indulge in delicious Monkey Mochas and use Christmas trees as scratching posts, guests can enjoy hot chocolate, warm apple cider, and yummy s’mores beside a roaring campfire.
